The Assistant VDC Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects using Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) methods and technologies. The role requires collaboration with project managers, engineers, architects, and various stakeholders to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards, while utilizing VDC tools to optimize the design and construction
processes.
Overview
As a VDC Specialist/Electrical, you will be responsible for ownership in three primary categories:
BIM project set up to include developing procedures and ensuring deliverables.
Quality control to include quality assurance (QA/QC).
You will also have a supportive role in the following:

Modeling.

Remote team management.

Assisting PM in response to pricing and change orders as well as scheduling.

Customer relationship.

Project management assigned tasks.

Communicate with Foreman About Best Practices.
Review Installation Drawings.
Read and Create Redlines/Contract Documents/Submittals.
Educate Remote Team/Client.
Create/Review Bill of Materials/Specification/Quantities Take Off.
What We’re Looking For

2-3 years of BIM or VDC experience

Ability to analyze modeling challenges and provide constructible solutions.

Strong knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Procore.

Strong ability to collaborate with contractors, project managers, and field teams.

Familiarity with electrical systems, conduit routing, NEC codes, and field installation practices.

Take full responsibility for BIM model accuracy, project success, and team collaboration.

Experience working with multidisciplinary coordination efforts in BIM.
Work Environment:
Office-based or remote with some site visits as needed.
Collaborative environment (virtual or in person) with frequent team meetings and project briefings.
Potential for travel depending on project locations.
Compensation Range: $33.65-$43.27 an hour
