Working in an industry where things are done the way they have always been done, it was hard to imagine change actually happening. Especially when coming from an industry where processes, innovation, and new technology were a driving factor to making a difference. I never wanted to settle for “what is,” but push the boundaries to see “what can be.” This pushed me to make leveraging technology to help redefine processes and make a positive difference in the industry one of my goals. That’s when I was introduced to VEC — a company whose vision aligned with mine, a company that gave me a voice to make the change I wanted to see, a company that wants to truly make a difference in this world.
One of my proudest moments working on a project at VEC was when the onsite team came together, collaborated, and produced an innovative solution to a problem a customer was having on their job site. The team and the technology were deployed onsite and the solution was then successfully executed, saving the customer time and money. This solution was then added to our suite of onsite services and has been utilized on multiple projects since then.
Being invited to the company retreat in Lake Tahoe within my first week of joining the company. This gave me the opportunity to meet everyone and witness firsthand how each employee and their family were appreciated by VEC. It was at this moment I knew VEC was where I belonged.
