What is your personal 'WHY' that has led you to VEC?

I’ve always been driven by the idea of improving how things get built—making the process smarter, more collaborative, and more human. VEC stood out to me because it aligned perfectly with that mindset. It’s not just about pushing tech for the sake of it—it’s about solving real-world problems, building trust with clients, and driving innovation with intention. I wanted to be part of a team that wasn’t afraid to challenge how things have always been done.

What is your favorite VEC customer success story and/or what is your proudest moment working on a project at VEC?

One of my proudest moments was having a client say to me in person, “We never worry about BIM Coordination when VEC is on the job.” That single sentence captured exactly what we aim to deliver—confidence, clarity, and trust. The project had a lot of moving parts and high expectations, but our team showed up with consistency, technical excellence, and a proactive mindset. Knowing that our presence allowed the client to focus on other priorities because they trusted us to lead coordination—that’s what success looks like to me.

What is your favorite memory with the VEC team?

My favorite memories are the moments where real bonds were built—sharing stories over dinner after a long day, celebrating wins (big or small), and having honest conversations that went beyond the work itself. It’s in those in-between moments—laughing, supporting each other, pushing through challenges as a team—that you realize how special the culture is here. We’re more than just coworkers—we genuinely care about each other, and that connection shows up in how we work together every day.

What is the unique value that you bring to VEC?

I’ve had a chance over the last decade plus to engage with owners, builders, and designers on projects all over the world. One key insight is that many of the challenges are shared by each stakeholder group, but they are approaching solutions from a different perspective. I bring a unique and broad industry perspective that will help our clients work better together as effective teams across the supply chain by bringing clarity to the challenges they face and driving innovative solutions that position VEC as a trusted partner. My background in data and AI also brings a perspective on the importance of data governance and standardization, which becomes increasingly important as more of the industry adopts cutting-edge tools. My hope is to leverage this expertise to modernize and streamline VEC’s operations internally, and to deliver value to our clients to help the best build better.

What does innovation mean at VEC?

VEC was built on innovation from the start. Our proven track record of using advanced technology solutions to deliver real-world value for projects doesn’t need to be reinvented, because the strong foundation is there. But we need to evolve, and help our client evolve with us. Innovation is in our DNA, and that necessitates change and growth as technology evolves. We are in a period of unprecedented change across the industry and the world at large, and my goal is to build systems and processes that will allow us to stay ahead of the curve. The opportunity for the next phase of growth at VEC is to expand our breadth and our depth to deliver value to our clients across the entire project lifecycle.
