What is your personal 'WHY' that has led you to VEC?

After several years working for different companies in the AEC industry, I made the choice to work for the VEC-UA team. Joining the team allowed me to accept more responsibilities and more opportunities for growth. I faced many challenges on my way to where I am now, and though challenges are a part of life, I am always able to conquer them head-on with the help of the VEC-UA team.

What is your favorite VEC customer success story and/or what is your proudest moment working on a project at VEC?

People remember either big failures or big wins. When I worked on the production team for the C3C project, we produced the drawings which were used on-site directly by the field team. We communicated with the foreman closely and, as a result, we received very positive feedback from the site that the drawings were very useful and helped with the construction and resolving field issues. Another great success story relates to the recent challenges for the entire team when proper internal and external communication was established for uninterrupted projects maintenance and team involvement by the VEC-UA side during the massive office relocation across Ukraine.

What is your favorite memory with the VEC team?

The most memorable moment was a few years ago when Shane, Brittany, Oleg, and Ivana visited Ukraine. I will always cherish the moment when we all met each other in real life and got to know each other better.

What is the unique value that you bring to VEC?

I’ve had a chance over the last decade plus to engage with owners, builders, and designers on projects all over the world. One key insight is that many of the challenges are shared by each stakeholder group, but they are approaching solutions from a different perspective. I bring a unique and broad industry perspective that will help our clients work better together as effective teams across the supply chain by bringing clarity to the challenges they face and driving innovative solutions that position VEC as a trusted partner. My background in data and AI also brings a perspective on the importance of data governance and standardization, which becomes increasingly important as more of the industry adopts cutting-edge tools. My hope is to leverage this expertise to modernize and streamline VEC’s operations internally, and to deliver value to our clients to help the best build better.

What does innovation mean at VEC?

VEC was built on innovation from the start. Our proven track record of using advanced technology solutions to deliver real-world value for projects doesn’t need to be reinvented, because the strong foundation is there. But we need to evolve, and help our client evolve with us. Innovation is in our DNA, and that necessitates change and growth as technology evolves. We are in a period of unprecedented change across the industry and the world at large, and my goal is to build systems and processes that will allow us to stay ahead of the curve. The opportunity for the next phase of growth at VEC is to expand our breadth and our depth to deliver value to our clients across the entire project lifecycle.
