When I first saw Revit and discovered how BIM could improve the industry efficiency and make buildings better, I decided my mission would be making that a reality. VEC is the best example of how we can make the BIM promises a reality by challanging the status quo and helping the field crew realize what we built virtually.
One of the first examples of challaging the status quo and acomplishing something new in the industry was the Block 33 project. We were challanged to deliver overnight Scan to Model comparison, with the goal of checking steel embeds, rebar and formwork before pouring concrete, making sure everything was within a 1" precision. We had great success and the concrete structure was poured with a record of lowest cost due to concrete rework.
I had so many great moments with the team that it is hard to choose the favorite. I believe the most representative of our culture were two critical moments we had: during the Pandemic Lockdowns and when Russia attacked Ukraine. These two moments were tough on all of us, but we all worked together through them, and together we could overcome all challenges, still make clients happy and help each other achieve our goals.
We are always better together!
