Introduction
Over 280 organizations and non-profits count on Alameda County Community Food Bank (ACCFB) to provide them with bulk food. The ACCFB serves one in five of people in the county, with two thirds of food going to children and seniors.
Partnering with global logistics real estate leader Prologis for this project, VEC was brought in to provide Onsite Technology support and captured existing conditions of the Food Bank facility, in preparation for warehouse improvements.
In collaboration with

VEC utilized 3D laser scanning technology to map out and provide accurate, as-built information for the facility, which was subsequently used to generate 3D models. We also supplied 360° photography, which provided the client with an immersive experience of their facility without stepping foot on site.
Initially, VEC was tasked with capturing the interior and exterior of the facility. After the benefits of this process became obvious, an additional request was made to capture the roof.
Our services allowed ACCFB to far more effectively execute planned improvement efforts, stretching their dollar and helping them keep pursuing what matters most: feeding our community.
